When PDF to RTF Is the Right Choice
Users who need to edit PDF content but do not have a PDF editor convert to RTF for editing in Word or other word processors. Compatibility with legacy systems that require RTF input. Sharing documents with users who prefer simple word processor formats.
What Gets Preserved
Text content with basic formatting including bold, italic, underline, and font sizes. Simple paragraph formatting and alignment. Lists and indentation. Images embedded in the document.
Limitations
Complex PDF layouts, tables with merged cells, and advanced formatting may not transfer perfectly to RTF. After conversion, review and adjust the RTF output as needed. RTF files tend to be larger than the original PDF.
